What is PRM Folders?
PRM Folders is a folder on your desktop containing shortcuts to shared resources on the PacRes network and SharePoint sites. When you start, it contains a few shortcuts by default. As you work here at PacRes, the IT department may add more shortcuts as time goes on. Think of PRM Folders as your one-stop shop for shared folders, and be sure to keep it where it is on your desktop so IT can add shortcuts as needed!
Initial Contents
1.Scans
This folder will contain any documents you’ve scanned using the scanner at your local branch office. As you might expect, this doesn’t do much if you work from home.
2.Faxes
This is a legacy folder from the time before we used RingCentral faxing. Faxes received by the multifunction printers at branch offices would be placed here. Since this functionality has been superseded by RingCentral, this folder is no longer in use at most branch offices and will probably only apply to employees who were with the company before we started using RingCentral.
3.S Drive
This is your S Drive folder. Please see this article for more information: File Storage Options
4.Work
This is a subfolder of your S Drive that’s added automatically.
5.Scorecard
This is a shortcut to a web module of https://dash.pacresmortgage.com/ that shows an overview of sales metrics. Executives can use this to view sales metrics for the whole company, Branch Managers can see metrics for their branch, team leads can see metrics for their team, and Mortgage Advisors can see their own metrics.
What IT Adds
Shared Folders
Whenever you’re granted access to a shared folder on the corporate network, the IT department will add a shortcut to the folder to your PRM Folders. Please note that to access this type of shared folder you will need to be in the office or connected to the VPN.
SharePoint Sites
As with shared folders, whenever you’re granted access to a SharePoint site, IT will drop a shortcut to it into PRM Folders for you. You can access SharePoint sites from anywhere without the VPN as long as you have an internet connection.
