Are You Getting This Error When Running Credit in Encompass?
It means you need to register your IP address. For security reasons, Xactus requires you to register your computer’s IP address in order to run credit. Your IP address can change over time or when you move your computer between home and the office, so having to register it again is pretty common. Thankfully, it’s also pretty easy to do it yourself and get back up and running.
Registering Your IP with Xactus
Navigate to the Xactus login page in your web browser: https://cis.meridianlink.com/custom/login.aspx
Log in with your Xactus username and password. This will take you to the Site Security page.
First, click on Text Me Authentication Code (1), then check the box (2) next to Register computer/network.
When you receive the code via text message, enter it on the Entry Pad by clicking on the number buttons. Once you have entered the code, click Continue.
With your changed IP address registered, you should now once again be able to run credit within Encompass.
